"Roughing" It

Thanks to Chris and Mitzi we were able to spend a fabulous weekend up at Chris' family's cabin up outside of Oakley a few weeks ago. We had a blast staying up til 3AM playing games and hiking and, as you can see below, Sky thought it would be fun to dunk himself in the freezing cold spring mountain runoff (and yes, he got in by choice).

On Saturday, we drove a couple minutes to Smith-Moorhouse Reservoir and took some pictures and admired the beautiful surroundings. If you guys ever want a super pretty place to go camping, here it is!

Having all the kids with us was so fun! Mitzi's sister, Kami, and her family came with and so we had cute little Navie and Ridge along with Ivie, Zander, and little Tysha a little later on. They were all awesome the whole time, even during our one o'clock-in-the-afternoon-blazing-hot hike. I just love that picture of Zander and his amazingly pretty blue eyes!

We had a stupendous time and can't wait to go "camping" again, especially if it's in a running water, heated, electrified "tent" :) Thanks again Chris & Mitzi!!
